Dana joined OSU as a graduate student in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology (MCDB). Before OSU, she earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Biological Sciences with a minor in Professional Writing from Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar, where she conducted research studying alternative splicing in pancreatic cell differentiation. Beyond her research on the lab bench, she also gained an interest in medical humanities, and studied the social and cultural aspects of science and research. Dana joined the Belyy Lab in Spring 2026 to investigate the role of Eph-Ephrin signaling in development. In her free time, she studies how science shows up in the public sphere, and enjoys reading, embroidery, being out in nature, and hanging out with friends.
