Jacob Smith

Jacob is an OSU veteran, having earned a Bachelor’s in Biochemistry here before pursuing a PhD with the Ohio State Biochemistry Program. He has dabbled in research from virology to bioinorganic chemistry to synthetic biology and has now begun working on unraveling the mysteries of cell signaling, starting with the intrinsic signal attenuation of IRE1. When he isn’t in the lab, he can often be found reading, biking, cooking, or playing with his cat, Molasses.
