Open Postdoctoral Position at The Ohio State University
A postdoctoral position is open in the group of Prof. Rafael Brüschweiler at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry (College of Arts and Sciences) and at the Department of Biological Chemistry and Pharmacology (College of Medicine) at the Ohio State University in Columbus, OH, to do research in solution NMR with focus on Protein Dynamics & Function or Metabolomics. For more information on our lab’s research please visit: https://research.cbc.osu.edu/bruschweiler.1
OSU is one of the largest universities in the US located in metropolitan Columbus, the capital of Ohio (population: 2 million).
The successful candidate has a strong background in one or several of the following areas: experimental NMR, metabolomics, or biomolecular computation
Candidates who wish to broaden their experience from structural biology to metabolomics or vice versa are also encouraged to apply.
Research is performed in the brand new CBEC Chemistry building at OSU. The host departments provide a cross-disciplinary environment with training opportunities and modern facilities to carry out the research. The CCIC NMR is a recently expanded campus-wide facility (see http://www.ccic.ohio-state.edu/NMR-Instruments), which houses eight new high-resolution Bruker NMR spectrometers from 600 MHz to 850 MHz with a wide range of capabilities: high-sensitivity cryoprobes for biomolecular studies, high throughput sample changers for metabolomics, and solid state probes for biomolecules and materials, micro-imaging and diffusion.
If you are interested, please contact Rafael Brüschweiler (email: bruschweiler.1@osu.edu) along with names and email addresses of 3 individuals who can be asked for a reference. Start date is flexible.
