Grace Johnecheck

Ph.D. Student | OSBP

CMBP Fellow

Grace received her B.S. in ACS Chemistry and Mathematics in 2019 from Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Her undergraduate research focused on the aggregation state and inhibitors of the glucose transport channel protein GLUT1.

In the Jackman lab, Grace studies guanylyltransferase enzymes involved in tRNA modification (Thg1 and TLPs). Her current research topic is a comparison of the differences in substrate recognition between the cytosolic Thg1 enzyme and mitochondrial TLP2 enzyme in Dictyostelium discoideum.

Outside of lab, Grace enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading novels, and playing board games.
