NOBCChE @ The Ohio State - National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers @ OSU

The primary purpose of the National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers (NOBCChE) is to initiate and support local, regional, national, and global programs that assist people of color in fully realizing their potential in academic, professional, and entrepreneurial pursuits in chemistry, chemical engineering, and related fields.

The NOBCChE Student Chapter at The Ohio State University (OSU) was organized in June 1996. NOBCChE at OSU is committed to the discovery, transmittal, and application of knowledge in the fields of science and engineering. The mission of NOBCChE at OSU therefore is to build an eminent community of scientists and engineers by increasing the number and retention rates of minorities in these fields on the OSU campus. This mission will be achieved through diverse programs designed to foster professional and social development and encourage students to pursue careers in science and technical fields. Also, NOBCChE at OSU is focused on helping to create a conducive atmosphere for minority students to prosper. To this end, we will establish educational partnerships with other organizations on campus, municipalities, businesses, industries, other institutions and organizations in the public and private sectors.
