Allie is from Erie, Pennsylvania and received her BA in chemistry in 2012 from the College of Wooster, where she conducted undergraduate research with Dr. Paul Edmiston. While in Professor Anita Mattson’s lab (January 2015 – May 2016) she worked on the development of new methods utilizing anion binding organocatalysts. Since joining the Wu group in May 2016, she has been working on synthesis of dyes for use in p-type dye sensitized solar cells. Outside of lab, Allie is an avid yogi, runner, cook, and cat mom.
