Damian Beauchamp

Damian is from Streetsboro, Ohio. He graduated from Kent State University with a BS in chemistry and joined the Wu group in 2012. His passion is based on the discovery, development, and commercialization of sustainable/renewable energy production and storage solutions. In 2013, Damian co-founded Kair Battery LLC, a company developed to provide highly energy efficient and dense, cost-effective, and non-toxic energy storage systems to the electric vehicle and grid storage markets. Recently, Damian was featured in Forbes Magazine’s 2015 30 Under 30 edition and delivered a TED talk at TEDxOhioState. Damian’s current research interests include dye-sensitized solar cells, photo-catalytic hydrogen production, solar batteries, flow batteries, and air batteries.
