Mitchell Steindler
Mitchell is a class of 2017 chemical engineering major from Deerfield, Illinois. He joined the Wu group in January 2015 and works with Xiaodi Ren on creating nanoporous membranes that selectively prevent oxygen flow across the potassium-air battery and increase battery cyclability. He sees nontoxic, efficient batteries as an invaluable part of changing the world for the better and hopes to eventually work on the macro engineering problems of entire battery systems for small- and large-scale applications. In addition to being involved in research, Mitchell is the Project Manager for OSU ESW (Engineers for a Sustainable World). He also enjoys cycling and participates in the OSU Triathlon Club.
