Songwei is from Wuhan, China and received his BS in chemistry from Wuhan University, where he worked on the design of catalysts for oxygen reduction reaction. In the winter of 2017, he joined the Wu group and looks forward to developing new materials and catalysts for electrochemical energy conversion.
