Developed in conjunction with SteelSnowflake LLC, the free web-based SQL-based Laboratory Asset Manager (SLAM) helps research labs of any size track and manage their precious research samples. Information about primers, plasmids, protein preps, and the resulting experimental samples can be linked to provide an unambiguous chain of custody, preventing the inevitable duplication of effort from lost or mislabeled samples. Because any catalog is only as good as the data it contains, computer files of any type can be attached and retrieved from assets, making integration effortless.
