Lucas Runyan

4th Year Ph.D. Student – Chemistry Ph.D Program

Lucas is from Clarkston Michigan, and received a B.S. in Biochemistry from Northern Michigan University. His undergraduate research in Dr. Lee Roecker’s lab focused on probing the coordination chemistry of sulfur containing ligands with cobalt (III), by producing cobalt-ligand complexes and characterizing them using UV-vis spectroscopy and NMR.

Since Joining the Lab in December 2017, Lucas has been working on characterizing plastins and coronins, two family of actin-binding proteins.
