Outreach

Each member of our team feels incredibly lucky to get to wake up everyday and do something we love:

Discover new science!

Of course, we owe many of these opportunities to great mentors we have had over the years. For this reason, we believe its important to pay it forward and help mentor the next generation of aspiring scientists.

Below are a few of the outreach programs that our group is actively involved in helping to inspire young future scientists.

The Steam Factory – Interactive science demonstrations and discussions at the Rich St farmers’ market

Breakfast of Science Champions – Annual event where we host middle school students from Columbus City Schools to explore our labs and experience real science at work

Metro Early College High School Internship – Immersion program for excited H.S. students to experience scientific research through hands-on activities

OSU Chemistry Club* – Undergraduate organization that exposes students to career opportunities in chemistry through invited speakers from local industries and academia, as well as participates in science demos and outreach events @OSUChemClub

NOBCChE* – A diverse group of BSc & PhD minority students studying chemistry and supporting one another in successful science careers

*David is a faculty advisor for these clubs. Please email him if you would like more info.
